The road to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City has been mapped out. The 64-team field has been set and the journey to USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium begins on Friday.
The two-time defending NCAA champion Oklahoma Sooners enter the tournament once again as the overall No. 1 seed. Coach Patty Gasso and Co. are riding a 43-game winning streak, four shy of the record set by Arizona in 1996-97.
The WCWS begins June 1 with the final eight teams each in action.
