Intern Role and Responsibilities: Your general role & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• While the Herald covers major daily news, their small team often lacks the time to write longer-term, “evergreen” features and deep dives into specific topics. Consequently, the intern will play a valuable role developing the feature, lifestyle, and enterprise coverage, writing pieces that will remain relevant and continue to be consulted for months after the internship.
• Intern responsibilities will include writing original stories with at least one interview (for example: interviews with restaurant owners, social leaders, artists, and entrepreneurs doing interesting work) and attend events such as cultural performances and sports matches and cover them for the Herald.
• The intern will also be expected to produce at least one reported feature of 1,000 to 1,200 words, including three interviews and research on a subject on the Argentine news agenda that fits with the intern’s interests, as well as write at least one opinion piece based on an aspect of their experience and views on their time in Argentina.
